Clare and Caroline were inspired to create MumsWork when, as working mothers, they realised that they needed a really comprehensive, positive and friendly place to mix with like-minded people. We aim to empower mums by pulling together the very best advice, inspiration and information into one place, as well as providing useful offers and promotions to our members.

I’ve been working in digital for (cough) 20 years, helping a variety of brands both big and small with product development, social media, digital publishing and commercial strategy.
After my three boys were born, I decided that the daily commute into London and the restrictions of a permanent job were just not the right choice for my family any longer.
Supported by my very understanding hubby, I dabbled in a number of businesses, including setting up a soft play cafe for under 5s, before realising that digital publishing was my real passion and the area that I really wanted to work in.
However, finding fulfilling work that had the flexibility I needed to support my family with their varied needs wasn’t easy, and after talking to other Mums in a similar position I registered the domain mumswork.co.uk and started to plan.
I was delighted when Clare agreed to co-found MumsWork with me as having a buddy to work with makes the whole entrepreneurial journey so much more interesting.
We’ve been thrilled that so many local businessfolk have supported us in our quest to build MumsWork, supporting us with advice as well as sharing their expertise for the benefit of both us and the MumsWork community.
I can’t wait to see how the site grows and develops in the future, and my hope is that mums all over the country will consider it a place where they can find genuinely useful advice, meet like-minded people and find work with the flex appeal that they want and need.
