Daisy First Aid provides confidence and knowledge in a fun, friendly and fear-free class, These are particularly popular with new parents who often feel vulnerable and overwhelmed. The classes are pregnancy safe and babies and breastfeeding is welcome Complying with the Resuscitation Council UK, HSE and leading first aid societies, Daisy First Aid classes offers assurance to attendees that they are being given the absolute best information, rather than the minefield of online information available, in an engaged and informal way. Daisy First Aid classes have already saved many lives, where the practices are put into action in real life situations, which is why they are becoming increasingly popular across the county.

Former police officer, Jenni Dunman, now CEO of Daisy First Aid has over 16 years first aid experience and is a paediatric first aid expert.

There are not many injuries Jenni hasn’t dealt with. Jenni even treated victims of the London bombings in Edgware Road tube station

Prior to creating her business, she experienced a horrifying incident where she saved her friend’s daughter after she choked in a coffee shop. Jenni realised then that first aid was not something regularly offered to new parents and that so many parents didn’t have basic first aid knowledge that could so easily save a child’s life, It was from here that Daisy First Aid was born and now has 75 Daisy First Aid trainers across the country and this number is growing quickly.

Jill's story

Name: Jill

Location: Newcastle

Family: Mum of two

Working for Daisy First Aid has literally changed my life! I’m now one of those
annoying people who REALLY love their jobs!
Although I enjoyed working for the ambulance service, it was understandably stressful
and I would often struggle to switch off after a 12 hour shift. I now have the pleasure
of a stress free job that still makes me feel like I’m making a difference and helping
While on maternity leave with my second child I began to seriously reconsider
returning to work and the difficulties that would bring regarding childcare
arrangements for two little ones.
Finding a new job that would work around my family life was seeming impossible until
I stumbled across an advert for Daisy First Aid. The more I read, the more exciting it
was. This job seemed to be the answer, it seemed to tick every box!
I requested more information and continued to be impressed. I messaged a few of the team members
and they all agreed on the same thing, they all loved their job! They all had previous
experience working for emergency services and were all mothers to young children.
They all seemed like me! I just couldn’t seem to find any reason not to go for it so I
worked out the finances to make it happen! Needless to say, I’ve never looked back!
When I first me Jenni I was surprised how friendly and approachable she was. I
found her passion and approach to the business inspirational.
The initial training was fantastic, well paced and memorable. The First Aid side was
already familiar to me so also learning about the actual running of the business like
marketing and promotion was really helpful.
The continued support is excellent. I have the freedom to run my own business in the
way that works best for me but also have Jenni and the rest of the team on hand to
answer any questions, big or small.
Everyone helps each other out in anyway they can, as well as sharing ideas, advice
and stories. It sounds like a cliché but the team really is like a big family!
I am so grateful to Daisy First Aid for giving me the opportunity to perfectly combine
my work life with being a mum. Paperwork and emails fit around nursery and
naptimes, the classes are booked in whenever I have childcare available. I’m so
proud to be part of the Daisy First Aid family and knowing that we are providing such
a valuable service! I’m excited to see Daisy First Aid progress and so glad I made the
decision to join!
